New York City Children's Chorus

The New York City Children’s Chorus is a graded choral program for children in the metropolitan NYC area who wish to receive training in the art of singing in a rigorous and rewarding choral environment. Founded in 2012 by noted music pedagogue Mary Huff at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, the New York City Children’s Chorus enables choristers, through hard work and dedication, to develop a passionate commitment to excellence through the choral art, to learn discipline and self-confidence, and to give back to their community through the gift of music. Children ages 4 to 18 may audition for the NYCCC. Auditions are held every year in the late spring by appointment.

Choristers in the Concert Choir and In Harmony will have the unique opportunity to prepare for and perform with a professional orchestra and soloists in classical masterworks such as J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Handel’s Judas Britten's Saint Nicolas , and Fauré's Requiem, on the Music on Madison! series each season. Choristers in the advanced ensembles, as well as in the training choirs, present several concerts each season in the metropolitan NYC area, focusing on repertoire from Bach to Broadway, as well as singing for special musical appearances in the New York area and beyond, including television appearances and annual tours.
